As an artist, portraits are more than just premeditated poses.
They should express something about the subject as well as the photographer.
A good portrait is a collaboration between the artist and the subject.

My method of documenting your wedding is focused on capturing the romance, excitement, and sense of community. I use a small outfit, minimal lens change, and minimal additive light; I look to capture the mood and environment in all its celebratory joy as it is. Movement, laughter and tears are all represented using as much ambient light as possible. I dislike extensive touch ups and over use of editing filters. I keep images pure and free to express your event as it happened, though I do take care to make sure each image is seen only in it's best light.

COMPASSION. ACCESS. RESPECT. EXPERIENCE.
My professional experience teaching art to teens and adults with developmental disabilities has exposed me to a hugely under served and grossly unappreciated population. Every week I work with people who deserve to be treated with regard, respect, and so much more. Frequently, this is not the case, and in fact, I see poor treatment and stigmatized behavior occur more regularly than I want to admit. C.A.R.E. Photography is my way to offer my professional services in a safe and comfortable manner, with compassion and understanding for many of the challenges some face every day. This is not a separate entity, but an extension of my daily practice expressed in a branded way. My services are accessible to any and all, regardless of ability, and I believe wholeheartedly that we are all entitled to experience art and self-expression in meaningful ways.
